Mumbai: Just a day after media went abuzz with reports that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has trouble conceiving and she is undergoing a treatment for stomach TB, the Bachchan clan has opened fire at all such rumors. Furious at ‘Mumbai Mirror’ - the newspaper that first broke the news, Aishwarya slammed the report through an angry letter to the daily and demanded an immediate apology for the same.
Fuming at all such reports, Aishwarya in her letter wrote, “I am completely shocked, appalled and extremely upset with the contents of the article. I completely deny the report. It is fabricated and false. It is very disappointing that your office did not even bother to verify this article with me, my family, my spokesperson or my office. I would think it only ethical and correct to get the person in question's side of the story or verification before printing such news.”
And it’s not only Ash who is seeing red, the entire Bachchan family has hit out at the ‘pregnancy problem’ claims. Unwilling to accept such remarks, Abhishek Tweeted, “You want to write and malign me or my father, I will take it. But the ladies of my home are off limits! They've gone too far this time..... I have never reacted to all the fabricated stories written by the media about me and my own. BUT THIS IS THE LIMIT!!! As a husband and a man I'm shocked that one can talk so irresponsibly about a woman, that too...falsely!! On a personal note, as a husband I will not stand for such rubbish being written about my wife".
The actor also warned the news daily in harsh words stating, “The paper in question is Mumbai Mirror. Such integrity that they didn't even write the jounalist’s name. Takes guts to stand by your work!”
The actor also thanked fans for their love and support. “The irresponsible and incorrect article has sparked much comment by all of you. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your love and never ending support for Aishwarya and my family,” he tweeted. “I love all of you and will always appreciate and hold your love very close to my heart,” signed off Abhishek.
Astonished and angered by such reports, ‘Paa’ Amitabh also rebuked the daily by stating, “I am too incensed and angered by the contents above! Not a single portion of the article is true...I am the head of my family. Aishwarya is not my daughter-in-law, she is my daughter, a woman, a lady in my house and home. “
“If anyone will speak derogatorily about her, I shall fight for her till my last breath. If you have something to say to the men in the house, Abhishek or me, I shall bear it. But, if you shall make injudicious remarks on the women in my home, I shall not tolerate it," added Amitabh.
Talking about the source of the entire ruckus was a report in a daily, which stated -“Since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is undergoing a treatment for stomach TB, her pregnancy plans are put on a backburner. It is widely believed that Aishwarya has been desperately trying to become a mother; however, her delayed pregnancy is a cause of major concern for the Bachchan household.”
