Harbhajan at it again; hits cameraman Zeenews Bureau

Bangalore: Responsibility, it seems, brings the worse out of Harbhajan Singh!

A year and a half ago, while captaining Mumbai Indians during IPL, the feisty off-spinner could not resist a physical assault on Kings XI Punjab pacer and his Team India colleague S Sreesanth after a match between the two sides.

Harbhajan duly apologized…to Sreesanth, match referees, Lalit Modi, fans, the nation, and practically, to everyone.

The apologies however did not buy him any mercy. Besides having to shelve out a massive amount as fine, he was also banned from the remainder of the IPL.

But the Turbonator hardly seems to have learnt any lessons.

Just minutes before the Indian team was scheduled to embark for Sri Lanka for a tri nation tourney, Harbhajan, who captained Air India Blue just a day before in a losing cause in the Corporate Trophy finals, is alleged to have slapped a cameraman at the Bangalore airport amidst large media presence.

Apparently, Harbhajan jabbed at the cameraman after his camera had hit him on the head while he was taking his luggage out from a car before entering the airport.

Harbhajan gave an angry stare at the cameraman even as security personnel tried to push back the hordes of lensmen who had virtually mobbed the cricketer.

Zeecric did try to contact the off-spinner himself, besides other board officials, but to no avail.

However one thing is for sure. The last hasn’t yet been heard on latest Harbhajan slap-gate episode.

Watch this space for more.

Media has to be blamed too. Why do they want to go behind cricketers? Just because they want higher viewership and TRP rating you make God out of humans. Please focus on more important news. Even if it is sports, there are so many sports which needs attention, please highlight those sports.

Good job by Bajji. Patience has its limits, and people even though cricketers / stars should have some privacy. Why the hell these shameless media people want to chase where ever they go to make some news and fill some gap for the sake of money?

And for Media people every thing against them is against the society and they feel as if they are gods and can do anything.

Now a days people are afraid of Police, Politicians and mainly Media.

He should be banned as he is NOT bigger than the game. Representing country is always on and off the field. No tolerance for doing such things as Ambassadors of the country.

As long as we glorify rogues as National heroes, these things repeat... Slapping a camera man because the camera touch is `Holy Head` ... God forgive.

IF WE PEOPLE DONT WATCH CRICKET FROM TOMORROW ONWARDS THEN HARBHAAN SINGH WONT GET THAT RESPECT WHAT HE IS GETTING TODAY.WHY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING CRICKET AND WASTING TIME AND MAKING THEM STARS.IT IS LIKE ONE LOSS ONES GAIN.THIS PRINCIPLE SHOULD STOPPED BY INDIANS.THEN INDIA WOULD COUNTRY LIKE US.

The reason for Team India spinner-bowler Harbhajan Singh losing his temper and cool every now and then is that the fabulous cricket earnings and the media hype glorifying his achievements as an ace wicket taker have made him swollen headed and an indisciplined lot. considering his past shady record of iindiscipline and lack of sportsman spirit for which Harbhan Singh was peanalised, Harbhajan Singh need to be taken to task by the BCCI to avoid any future misbehaviour from Harbhan Singh in the interest of Team India`s reputation.

It is wrong to say Harbhajan is at fault. The fact of the matter is the camera man had hit him in the head and do we see the cameraman apologise to Harbhajan? NO. Harbhajan merely pushed away the camera. Are the manners only for the select few? Are the REPORTERS to be treated differently? I am ashamed this has been made an issue by the reporters. Instead of the reporters apologising to Harbhajan for hitting him in the head, they are making this to be an issue which it is not. Let us support our team as INDIANS and lets not scream our inadequacies in the public.

Oh c`mon. is this news. the cameraman hit him on the head, the guy hits back, whats the big deal. If someone (especially the reporter) finds this incident newsworthy and magnanimous enough to not react on being hit is encouraged to contact me, its been a long n boring day and would like to hit someone who doesnt have a problem with it. Give the guy a break.
