Thackeray won’t withdraw `ban` on Oz players, for now Mumbai: A day after Union Minister Sharad Pawar met Bal Thackeray requesting him to withdraw its threat against Australian cricketers' participation in IPL, Shiv Sena said it would take a final call on the issue in two-three days.

"Thackeray would take a final call on the issue of Australian players in two-three days," Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' said today.

Pawar had met Thackeray at the Sena chief's 'Matoshree' residence in Bandra last night. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar and Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray were also present at the two-hour meeting.

"For me, the country is more important than the game," Saamana quoted Thackeray as telling Pawar. "I will never tolerate India's insult," the Sena supremo said.

"We told Balasaheb that the Australian team will not participate in the IPL, but each IPL team will have one or two Australians," Manohar had said last night after the meeting.

"He asked us to give a presentation on how many Australian players will play in the IPL. We will make the presentation in a day or two," Manohar had said.

"Thackeray and he (Uddhav) gave us a considerate hearing. We tried to convince him that only one or two Australian players will participate in the IPL matches and by not allowing all IPL matches it?s the state players (Marathi players) who will lose ultimately," he had told reporters.

Thakrey is the biggest threat to India. He is doind nothing but trying to seperate Maharashtra from India.
India has always been a welcoming country and people like Thakeray can not change it just because of his personal interest.
Wierd thing is that, why did Sharad Pawar go to Thakeray? I should have gone to Mumbai Chief Minister to provide security to Aussies?
India is one. why the Thakeray family is abusing the system?

Very strange ...on one side he talks about that he cannot tolerate against Indian on the other hand the same Idiot Bal Thackeray is against Indian People that Mumbai is for only Mumbaikars ...All these ...statements just to fool around with innocent people, who leave their work and earning of the day and follow him as per his instructions or advice. I request every person not to bother him any more and also request media person not to give much importance to such idiotic politicians ...its waste of time and waste of money...

Oh man. What is this? Why Sharad Pawar went to Thackeray? Pawar should be fired from ministery? And I am amazed Indian govt. specially Maharashtra Govt, is not taking any action against Pawar and thackerays`. Who are they to decide whether who will play or not? Govt. should take stringnet actions imeediately, otherwise this country will be divided into many pieces.

What a rubbish indian cricket control board and our government.

They are not going to government for help as they know government can not help them. I think Shiv Sena is more powerful than Congress-NCP Government. Then why people voted for them? I think we should vote for those people who can protect our rights. When leader like Sharad Pawar whose government is in power in Maharashtra can not do anything then how can we secure ourselves.
