Guwahati: Accusing the Congress Party of shedding crocodile tears for the problems in Assam, Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that his government will immediately shield the India-Bangladesh border if voted to power.
He criticised the Congress for not taking any steps to solve the state's myriad and burning problems despite being in power for 15 years.
According to Assam Tribune, the home minister in an election rally at Nagaon also stressed on getting rid of poverty and unemployment from the state.
He also stressed on providing bank loans to educated unemployed youth to generate self-employment in Assam.
