Assam: Nine abducted labourers freed

Nine labourers abducted by suspected KPLT militants from Karbi Anglong Autonomous District were released after six days captivity, police said.

Diphu: Nine labourers abducted
by suspected Karbi Peoples` Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militants
from Karbi Anglong Autonomous District were released after
six days captivity, police said on Thursday.

The labourers, abducted on April five last, were set
free at a secluded forested area near Behori outpost under
Santipur police station of the district last evening.

They had been kidnapped by a group of four heavily armed
militants from an under-construction hospital building at
Rongbong Ghat.
