Bandh affects life in Dima hasao district

The 24-hour bandh called by various organisations to protests the appointment of teachers under the Teacher Eligibility Test by the state government affected normal life in the Dima Hasao Autonomous District of Assam.

Haflong (Assam): The 24-hour bandh called by various organisations to protests the appointment of teachers under the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) by the state government affected normal life in the Dima Hasao Autonomous District of Assam on Friday.
District officials said during the bandh business establishments, educational institutions and transport services remained closed.
The bandh was called by the All Assam Tribal Sangha, Dimasa Students Union and a group of other bodies.

No untoward incidents were reported during the bandh, which is scheduled to continue till tomorrow morning.
