Guwahati: The body of an unidentified girl, suspected to have been raped and killed, was found from a river in Assam's Golaghat district on Wednesday, police said.
The mouth, hands and legs of the girl was tied and the body put in a sack was dumped in River Mora Dhansiri near No:2 Bohikhowat village under Bokakhat subdivision.
The police suspect that the girl was raped and killed before her body was thrown into the river.
Efforts are on to identify the girl and trace the killers, sources added.
