Guwahati: Five persons were killed by lightning in Assam`s Dhubri and Golaghat districts on Sunday.
Lightning struck Kanaimara village in Dhubri district killing three persons on the spot.
The dead have been identified as Hafizur Rahman, Ruptam Ali and Islam Ali.
In another incident, two girls were struck by lightning at Sukhnani village in Golaghat district, officials said.
