Gogoi urged to take land reform in Assam

Assam CM Tarun Gogoi was today urged to take steps in land reform in the state by a civil rights activist PV Rajagopal.

was today urged to take steps in land reform in the state by a
civil rights activist PV Rajagopal.

"It is urgent to work for land reform by Gogoi as he is
a member of the National Land Reforms Commission," Rajagopal
told reporters here.

Rajagopal, also a member of ofthe NLRC, is now in
Guwahati as part of a nationwide land rights yatra.

He alleged that not a single meeting of NLRC was held in
the past five years.
