Haflong: Unidentified gunmen on friday morning fired at the down Agartala Express train near Bagetar railway station in central Assam's Dima Hasao district.
There was, however, no report of any injury or casualty, police said.
The gunmen fired from nearby hills on the Agartala-bound train from Lumding near the station under Haflong police station at around 4 AM, they said.
Police and security forces rushed to the site and launched a manhunt to track out the attackers.
