Rangia: Seven members of a family were
killed and several others injured when their car collided with
a bus in lower Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district this morning.
The car coming from upper Assam collided with a
Tezpur-Guwahati bus on National Highway 52, police said.
As both the vehicles were travelling at high speed, the
car was dragged for about 40 meters and a portion of the
vehicle completely crushed due to the impact of the collision.
Several bus passengers received simple injuries and they
were released after being administered first-aid in nearby
health centers.
