Guwahati: In bid to woo voters ahead of Assembly elections, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will address two rallies in poll-bound Assam.

Sonia will be addressing the people in Sivasagar and Biswanath Chariali.

As per a poll conducted by ABPNews-Nilesen, BJP and its allies are expected to win majority in the state.

However, present CM Tarun Gogoi has emerged as the first choice to become Assam chief minister.

The survey also said that there would be a dip in vote share for the Congress party.

The Grand Old Party are projected to be getting 34 percent votes as against 39.6 percent in 2011.

At such a crucial projection of polls, Sonia’s rallies in the state may boost confidence of party’s cadre.
