Rampur: Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan on Sunday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that "he carries in his kitty very dangerous intentions" and said there is need to be vigilant.

Without elaborating on his allegation against Modi, Khan said, "it is extremely essential to remain vigilant by devoting maximum energy to keep cordial relations between communities well maintained."

Speaking to reporters here, he claimed that there were attempts to oust the government in Uttar Pradesh and cause communal disturbances in the entire country.

"But their designs to disturb peace were foiled by the well intentioned people," he said, adding "conspiracies to poison the peaceful existence of the society have been continuing which is very dangerous and need very strict vigilance."

The Samajwadi Party leader also claimed that "traitors" had infiltrated the party's network which was a dangerous signal for the organization as well as its mission.

"Our mission to weed out infiltrators has started and will be completed within a month," he added.
