Patna: As many as 234 candidates submitted
their documents on the penultimate day of filing nomination
papers on Tuesday for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly polls,
scheduled to be held on October 24.
Additional Chief Electoral Officer Kumar Anshumali said
with this, the number of candidates having filed their
nomination papers for the second phase poll rose to 367.
Thirty-two candidates also filed their papers on the
second day of filing of nomination for 48 constituencies in
Bihar where polling will be held in the third phase on October
28.
The last date of filing papers for the second phase of
polls is October six and the last date for withdrawal is
October 9.
