17 members of SSC exam racket gang arrested

Patna: At least 17 persons of an examination racket have been arrested for illegal indulgence in staff selection commission examination in Bihar, police said.

On a tip-off, Special Task Force (STF) personnel arrested two persons from the gate of office of Bihar SSC here on Friday, STF Inspector General of Police (Operation) Amit Kumar said.

On the basis of statement of the two, other members of the gang who used to charge money upto Rs 9 lakh from candidate for getting them through in the exam, were taken into custody yesterday and today, the IGP said.

The IGP said investigation was on to find if officials were in collusion with the gang.

The Commission conducts examination for selection of non-gazetted official.

Official as well as chairman is also involved in this racket. I had submitted complaint before the Secretary State Vigilence Commission, Soochna Bhawan, Patna complaint No. 2953 dated 20.05.2011 further two reminders have been submitte to this application but failed to do any enquiry and/or investigation in this regard. Ashok Choudhary Retd. Chief Information Commissioner was also involved in proctecting the Bihar Staff Selection Commission. Complaints/appeals before State information Commission are still pending for last more than one year. Case IDs 50890/2011-12, 58817/2011-12 and 66739/2011-12, no proper or complete reply to my RTI application has been provided by the Public Information officer, I can provide all evidence concerning to my case how the functionaries of bssc Patna are involved in this racket. Badly in need of support from media.
