Patna: Actor Raja Murad praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for development in Bihar and rated him "best for the post of Prime Minister".
Nitish Kumar has brought a "perceptible" change in Bihar, Murad told a section of reporters during his visit to orthopaedic hospital Akshat here last night.
It`s heartening to see women walking on the street without any fear even at night here, which we heard was not possible earlier, the actor said.
Praising Kumar for initiating development work in Bihar, Murad rooted for him for the post of Prime Minister of the country.
Murad, who kicked off a controversy for his apparent comment on Narendra Modi over skull cap, kept mum on questions related to the BJP`s prime ministerial candidate.
On Aam Admi Party, he said it is a new party and needs time before people start passing judgement on its performance.
Murad presented a cheque of Rs 5000 to two patients, one male and another female, operated upon in the hospital. He urged doctors to offer free treatment to at least 30 per cent poor and deprived patients on humanitarian concern.
