Kishanganj: A board and eight pillars of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) centre at the selected site in Bihar`s Kishanganj district have been destroyed and were found in a nearby river, Superintendent of police RK Mishra said on Tuesday.
The incident took place late last night and unidentified
miscreants were behind it, Mishra said.
"The Kishanganj district administration has taken the
matter very seriously. We have deployed magistrates and armed
police force on the land allocated to AMU for construction of
its centre," official sources said.
The matter was reported to AMU administration
authorities and its vice-chancellor by Kishanganj district
magistrate, the sources added.
