Bihar court convicts RJD MLA

A two-term RJD MLA Rajendra Prasad Yadav was Thursday convicted by a Bihar court in a case of murder in Gaya district.

in Gaya district.

Fast-track court judge Achyutanand Upadhyay found
Yadav guilty of killing a woman Mintoo Kumari while firing
during a victory rally as RJD MLA from Atari at Dariapur
village in the district in February, 2005.

Upadhyay fixed June 22 for pronouncing the quantum of
punishment.

Yadav had won the elections twice from Atari on RJD
ticket in 2000 and February 2005. He lost the elections in
November 2005 when the NDA led by Nitish Kumar came to power.
