Bihar Governor gives away cash awards on R-Day

Bihar Governor Devanand Konwar on Wednesday gave cash award to ten of the 16 winners of Gallentry Award 2010-11 from the state on the occasion of Republic Day.



Patna: Bihar Governor Devanand Konwar on Wednesday gave cash award to ten of the 16 winners of Gallentry Award 2010-11 from the state on the occasion of Republic Day.

Kumar handed over cash award of Rupees 1.50 Lakh
to winner of Shaurya Chakra Major Mudassar Equbal
(Muzaffarpur), Rupees 75,000 each to Sena Medal winners
Havildar Ranjit Kumar (Gaya) and Naik Prem Chandra Kumar Singh
(Bhagalpur).

He also gave cash award of Rupees One lakh each to
Ati-vishist Seva Medal winners, Lt Gen Anand Mohan Verma
(Patna), Lt Gen Uma Shankar Prasad Sinha (Madhubani) and Air
Vice Marshal F(P) Priya Ranjan Sharma (Muzaffarpur).

Vishist Seva Medal winners Maj Gen Nageshwar Singh
Vidharthi (Patna) and Maj Gen Baliram Jha (Motihari) and Maj
Gen Ashok Kumar Srivastava also received cash award of Rupees
Fifty thousand each, besides a citation from governor on the
occasion.
