Bihar: RJD sit-in to protest `rape by BJP leader`

RJD held a sit-in demonstration to protest against alleged rape of a girl belonging to the extremely weaker section of society.

Patna: Opposition RJD on Tuesday held a sit-in
demonstration here to protest against alleged rape of a girl
belonging to the extremely weaker section of society allegedly
by a ruling BJP leader at Masurha village in Patna district
recently.

RJD`s extremely backward cell organised the protest
led by its chairman and former MLC Azad Gandhi at Kargil Chowk
here during the day.

They alleged that the girl was sexually harassed and
raped by the BJP leader at the village recently and demanded
his immediate arrest.

Addressing the demonstrators, state RJD president RC
Purve alleged that the state government had failed to check
growing atrocities on women belonging to weaker sections of
the society.

Purve accused the state government of patronising
musclemen and criminals.

He demanded immediate arrest of the ruling party
activist and ensuring speedy trial of the case.
