Bihar seeks Centre`s help to tackle traffic woes

Bihar Minister for Road Construction Nand Kishore Yadav on Thursday said the state had drawn the Centre`s attention and sought cooperation to sort out the problem of increased traffic pressure on roads.

attention and sought cooperation to sort out the problem of
increased traffic pressure on roads.
Roads between Rajauli to Bakhtiarpur, Mokama to Munger,
Bhagalpur to Santhal Pragana and Aurangabad needed to be
four-laned for easy flow of traffic.

Four laning work is under process between Hajipur and
Muzaffarpur, he told newsmen adding ``We are also
concentrating in Patna for widening the roads to help solve
traffic problem.``
On the dilapidated condition of Mahatma Gandhi setu over
Ganga, considered to be the life line for Bihar, the minister
said though the state government had approached the Centre for
its help in June 2008 no action had been taken as yet.
