Patna: Bihar Youth Congress and Patna University M.Ed examinees Wednesday petitioned Governor Devanand Konwar seeking immediate intervention for declaration of M.Ed results conducted by the university in June.

A joint delegation called on the governor, who is also chancellor of the universities in Bihar, at the Rajbhavan this afternoon and submitted a memorandum to him.

The delegation urged the governor to give his nod to the syllabus on the basis of which the M.Ed exams were conducted in June 2011 for the session 2010-11.

The delegation also sought his intervention to regularise the academic calender of the university, besides keeping its library open round-the-clock and doubling the number of seats in M.Ed course.

The delegation claimed that the delay in the declaration of results had deprived the M.Ed students of jobs in private and public sector units and also stopped them from applying for National Eligibility Test (NET) and Pre-PhD Registration Test (PRT).
