Bihar to promote non-conventional energy

Bihar government would give several concessions to those exploiting the sources of non-conventional energy in the state, state Energy minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav said on Thursday.



Patna: Bihar government would give several concessions to those exploiting the sources of non-conventional energy in the state, state Energy minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav said on Thursday.
"The state government will give concessions, including tax rebate, to those exploiting the sources of non-conventional energy in Bihar under New Industrial Policy," Yadav said while addressing a function.
The state government was irrevocably committed to promote green energy, he said.

Referring to the talks about existence of hydel power potential in Bihar, Yadav said the state government had decided to undertake a survey for exploring hydel production potentials in three districts in Bihar.
