Bihar to reconstitute implementation committees

In a significant decision, Bihar government today decided to reconstitute the 3-tier programme implementation committees across the state.

Patna: In a significant decision, Bihar
government today decided to reconstitute the 3-tier programme
implementation committees across the state.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the
state cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,
state cabinet secretariat department`s principal secretary
Girish Shankar told reporters.

Stating that the decision to reconstitute the committee
was taken for the purpose of extending their purview, Shankar
said the committees would supervise and guide the
implementation of the schemes of the state government, besides
the centrally-sponsored schemes.

All necessary facilities would be extended for those
assigned the jobs under the programme, he said, adding the
daily allowance and transport would also be arranged for them
for supervising the implementation of the schemes.

The state cabinet also decided to amend the executive
rules and rechristened the department of personnel and
administrative reforms as General Administration department,
he said.
