BJP dares Nitish to make his stand clear on scams by RJD, Congress

The BJP on Saturday asked the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to make his opinion on various scams, like Fodder scam in which Lalu Prasad is convicted, known to people.

Patna: The BJP on Saturday asked the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to make his opinion on various scams, like Fodder scam in which Lalu Prasad is convicted, known to people.

Describing Kumar 'an epitome of opportunism', Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Kumar used to say a lot on Congress' corruption and fought against Lalu Prasad and now he has formed an alliance with Congress and Lalu Prasad.

"...What is Kumar's take on various scams such as Bitumen scam, 2G, Common Wealth Games, Coalgate and Congress' concerted efforts to malign George Fernandes' image in 'Coffin scam' after Kargil war in which nothing concrete came out, Kumar did not show even a scant respect for George Fernandes who had made him," Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

"You (Nitish Kumar) are an epitome of opportunism. Give me the answers if you have the courage," Prasad dared.

This is an election between hope and despair and aspirations and disappointment, he said adding that there is no roadmap for development of Bihar, instead these (Nitish-Lalu) are making absurd statements.

Referring to Nitish Kumar's statement that only Bihari would become the Chief Minister, Prasad, who cited more than a dozen leaders of alliance, asked Kumar "Are we not Bihari? By Bihari, Kumar means that only he (Kumar) is real Bihari. This is a sheer arrogance and nothing else. This is a downright insult of democratic right of people of Bihar."

Reminding the famous statement of Devkant Barua, who was also the Governor of Bihar, of 'India is Indira and Indira is India', Prasad said that Kumar also thinks on the same line as "I am Bihar and Bihar is Nitish Kumar but the people will reply on November 8."
