Patna: The month-long budget session of
Bihar legislature will commence from February 22 and the
regular budget for 2010-2011 will be placed during it.
A communique issued by the assembly secretriat today
said Governor Debanand Konwar will address the joint session
on the opening day and government will present the economic
survey on February 23.
The budget would be presented on February 25, it said.
Both Houses of state legislture will have 28 sittings,
the communique said.
After a debate on the Governor`s address for three days,
the government would reply to the debate and Thanksgiving
motion would be taken up on March 3.
The session will, however, have an interval of four days
with both the Houses remaining closed from February 27 to
March 2 on account of Holi.
The house would have a discussion on the third
supplementary budget and related appropriation bill for
2009-2010 on March 8.
On the last day of the session on March 31 the House will
take up non-official resolutions.
