Muzaffarpur: A case was filed on Tuesday in a Muzaffarpur court by a woman advocate charging a ruling JD(U) MLC Ganesh Bharti and his associate with making an attempt to rape her two days ago.
The petitioner Kiran Kumari filed in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Ramesh Chandra Malviya alleging that Bharti and his associate Shabbir Ahmed alias Pappu forcibly dragged her inside the JD(U) MLC's vehicle in which the alleged accused duo tried to rape her on way to Akharaghat.
Kumari said that she had strongly protested a bid to outrage her modesty consequent to which Bharti and his associate dropped her off the vehicle before speeding away. The CJM has admitted the woman advocate's petition and put up for hearing on February two next.
Kumari claimed that the JD(U) MLC had got her husband Roshan Kumar Jha implicated in a false case of extortion and had him arrested.
