CBI arrests two AG officials for taking graft

Patna: The CBI on Wednesday arrested two officials of the Accountant General`s (AG) office here on graft charges, an official said.

Acting on a complaint of Additional Programme Officer (APO) of Banka district Arvind Kumar, the CBI team laid a trap and caught Senior Accounts Officer Rajdev when he was accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from the APO in his office, CBI Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Singh said.

An Assistant Accounts Officer Rajesh Kumar was also arrested on graft charge as he had demanded a bribe from the APO yesterday and asked him to pay the amount to Rajdev, the SP said.
The officials had demanded and taken bribe for clearing four AC/DC bills, Singh said.
