Patna: The Congress may use a riot victim
Quttubuddin Ansari`s photograh in which he was shown to be
begging with the rioters to spare his life during 2002 Godhra
riots in Gujarat "in order to expose" Chief Minister Nitish
Kumar`s secular image during the assembly polls in Bihar.

The state unit party leadership has hit upon the idea
to use the Gujarat riots victim`s photograph as a poll
material to "tear apart Kumar`s secular credentials" vis-a-vis
his association with the BJP of which Modi has a mascot, the
Congress Chief Spokesperson Prem Chandra Mishra said here.

"We have written to the Congress high command
explaining justification of use of Ansari`s photograph as a
poll material in Bihar," he said.

The high command`s decision in this regard was awaited,
Mishra said, adding that the said photograph will prove to be
an useful poll material, particularly among the minority
community, to expose the senior JD(U) leader`s secular
credentials, the Congress leader said.

The Congress will also tell the electorate that Kumar,
who was then an Union Minister in the NDA government at the
Centre, had not uttered a single word on the Gujarat riots, he
said.
