Patna: Energy Minister Vijendra Yadav on Wednesday urged the Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) employees to reconsider their decision to go on a day-long strike on March 29 next and invited them to for talks to sort out their grievances.

"I appeal to the BSEB employees to reconsider their decision to go on day-long strike on March 29 next and sit with us to sort out their grievances," he said in the state assembly.

Seeking to sooth the worries of the BSEB employees about their job security, Yadav said that the state government will give a guarantee of their jobs.

At the same time, the BSEB employees must work in a disciplined manner and discharge their duties, including collection of revenues, the Energy Minister said.

The Bihar State Electricity Department Employees Association had recently decided to observe one-day token strike on March 29 next to protest against the state government's proposed decision to bifurcate the Bihar State Electricity Board.
