Energy Minister pleads with BSEB employee to not go on strike

Patna: Energy Minister Vijendra Yadav
on Wednesday urged the Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) employees
to reconsider their decision to go on a day-long strike on
March 29 next and invited them to for talks to sort out their
grievances.
"I appeal to the BSEB employees to reconsider their
decision to go on day-long strike on March 29 next and sit
with us to sort out their grievances," he said in the state
assembly.

Seeking to sooth the worries of the BSEB employees
about their job security, Yadav said that the state government
will give a guarantee of their jobs.

At the same time, the BSEB employees must work in a
disciplined manner and discharge their duties, including
collection of revenues, the Energy Minister said.
The Bihar State Electricity Department Employees
Association had recently decided to observe one-day token
strike on March 29 next to protest against the state
government`s proposed decision to bifurcate the Bihar State
Electricity Board.
