Ex-MLA among 18 Samajwadi party workers detained

Nineteen SP activists including an ex-MLA Ram Chandra Yadav were detained by police when they attempted to block the cavalcade of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his Seva Yatra to Kaimur district on Saturday.

Bhabhua (Bihar): Nineteen Samajwadi Party activists including an ex-MLA Ram Chandra Yadav were detained by police when they attempted to block the cavalcade of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his Seva Yatra to Kaimur district on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police Umashankar Sudhansh said Yadav along with 18 party activists tried to block the convoy of chief minister when he was going to Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel school ground in Bhabua to hold a `Janata Darbar` programme.

They were protesting against some local issues, sources said adding that they were were taken to Bhabhua police station for interrogation.
The CM is on a three-day seva yatra to the district of Kaimur since yesterday.
