Nawada: Sashi Kumar, an executive engineer of the district regional development authority, was on Wednesday arrested by the State Vigilance Bureau, while accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 here in the headquarters of Nawada district.
Vigilance sources said, acting on a complaint, officials raided the office of the DRDA executive engineer and caught him in the act of accepting the bribe from Ramdeo Prasad.
The bribe was given for allegedly bestowing undue favour on Prasad, while examining some MNREGA documents, they said.
The arrested was being sent to Patna for production before the Special Vigilance Court.
