Patna: Bihar Congress Chief Choudhary
Mehboob Ali Kaiser on Saturday said it would be a "collective
responsibility" of the leaders if the party failed to fare
well in the Assembly elections in the state.
"The decision of allotment of tickets has been a
collective decision... and similarly, the failure of the party
in the Assembly elections will be treated as a collective
responsibility," Kaiser told reporters.
He was responding to a query as to whether he would quit
if the Congress did not fare well in the elections,
particularly because of the revolt and infighting the state
unit faced for alleged irregularities in distribution of
tickets ahead of the elections.
Kaiser, however, was optimistic that the Congress would
pull off a spectacular victory and form the government on its
own in Bihar.
