Fodder case: Argument over on discharge petitions

A designated CBI court heard final arguments by both parties on the discharge petitions filed by the Lalu Prasad and Jagannath Mishra.



Patna: A designated CBI court on Friday heard
final arguments by both parties on the discharge petitions filed by the former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad and
Jagannath Mishra among 11 accused persons in the fodder scam

The arguments were completed by the contending parties
in the court of the designated CBI Judge B.K. Jain in the
discharge petitions filed by Prasad, Mishra and other accused
persons in connection with the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 47
lakh from Banka and Bhagalpur treasuries in 1995-96 for
purchase of fodder.

The judge will pronounce an order on the discharge
petitions on August 18 next.
