Forbesganj (Bihar): A youth was allegedly
beaten up by a policeman when he was lying in an unconscious
state in a field in Forbersganj Industrial Area in Bihar's
Araria district where four persons were killed in police
firing.
Some regional TV channels showed footage of a youth lying
in the field in an unconscious state when a policeman kicked
him several times and even jumped on both his hands.
Superintendent of Police (Araria) Garima Mallick said she
had not watched the footage and was unaware of any such
incident.
Four persons were killed and 30 others, including 25
policemen, were injured yesterday in police firing and clash
between a mob and securitymen opposing the construction of a
starch factory and an approach road in the Forbesganj
Industrial Area in Araria.
