Former RJD minister joins JD(U)

In a setback to the RJD ahead of Assembly elections in Bihar, senior leader Sarfaraz Alam, a former minister in Rabri Devi government, today joined the JD(U).

Patna: In a setback to the RJD ahead of
Assembly elections in Bihar, senior leader Sarfaraz Alam, a
former minister in Rabri Devi government, today joined the
JD(U).

Alam was inducted into the ruling party by the JD(U)
President Vijay Chaudhary at a function at the party office.

He had represented Jokighat seat in the state assembly
during 1996-2001 and was a minister in the Rabri Devi
government during 2001-05.
