Motihari: Security forces on Thursday arrested a
naxalite with arms and ammunition from near Jhanda chowk in
Bihar's East Champaran district, a police officer said.
Acting on a tip off, the CRPF and local people in a
joint operation carried out a search in Jhanda chowk locality
and nabbed the hardcore naxalite, identified as Naresh Paswan,
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sanjay Singh said.
A pistol, two magazines and five ammunition were
seized from the ultra, he said, adding that Paswan was wanted
in at least six cases of murder and naxal violence in the
district.
