Patna: Janata Dal (U) leader Sabir Ali was
on Thursday declared elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from
Bihar, a state legislative assembly official said.
Ali, the sole candidate in fray, was declared elected
after scrutiny of his papers by the state legislative
assembly secretary and the Returning Officer Girish Jha, the
state legislative assembly Deputy Secretary and Assistant
Returning Officer Md. Zainul said.
Ali had quit LJP and joined JD(U) last month.
