JD(S) candidate arrested in Bihar

Jehanabad: Janata Dal(Secular) candidate
Vidyanand Kumar alias Pappu Yadav was arrested soon after he
filed nominations for Ghosi assembly constituency in Bihar`s
Jehanabad district on Friday, official sources said.
As Pappu Yadav stepped out of the returning officer`s
chamber after submitting his documents, police arrested him in
connection with a case in which he was evading arrest.
He was later sent to jail, the sources said.

The JD(S) nominee has been charged with committing an
offence under the Prevention of Scheduled Caste Atrocity Act
in the case, the sources added.
