JD(U) expels 3 leaders

The JD(U) on Friday expelled three leaders, including the rebel independent candidate from Barauli assembly constituency Sumer Kumar Kushwaha, from primary membership of the party.

Patna: The JD(U) on Friday expelled three leaders, including the rebel independent candidate from Barauli assembly constituency Sumer Kumar Kushwaha, from primary membership of the party.
Besides JD(U)`s Gopalganj district General Secretary
Kushwaha, party leaders Shivdhyan Singh and Devendra Singh
from Gopalganj and Jamui districts respectively, have been
expelled from primary membership, JD(U) General Secretary
Ravindra Singh said in a release.
While Kushwaha went against the party diktat and
decided to contest as an independent from Barauli, Shivdhyan
and Devendra Singh were also involved in anti-JD(U) activites
in poll campaigning, the party said.
