Patna: The remarks made by Press Council of
India Chairman Markandeya Katju against the Nitish Kumar government for allegedly undermining the freedom of the press in Bihar was raised by ruling JD(U) during the debate on the budget in the assembly Wednesday.

should have studied the situation in Bihar first before
rushing to any conclusion, he added.
Congress member Javed said the budget was neither
promising nor progressive and alleged that it would not come
up to the people`s expectations.
