Samastipur: Panic spread in
Golapatti area of Bihar`s Samastipur district today as a
leopard strayed into the populated area and injured two
youths.
Forest department ranger A K Jha said the carnivore,
seen roaming in the road, suddenly lunged forward and pounced
on the youths as they tried to net it near a mill.
As panic-stricken people ran inside their houses,
officials of forest department were called in from the state
capital to tame the animal.
"We don`t know from where the leopard has come", Jha
said.
The injured youth were administered first-aid at a
government hospital at Dalsingsarai.
