LJP targets Advani`s yatra, demands white paper on Bihar

Targeting senior BJP leader L K Advani`s Yatra, LJP president Ramvilas Paswan demanded that a white paper on NDA-ruled Bihar be published.

Patna: Targeting senior BJP leader L K Advani`s Yatra, LJP president Ramvilas Paswan on Wednesday
demanded that a white paper on NDA-ruled Bihar be published.

"Advani`s yatra is directionless. Advani should ensure
that a white paper is brought out on the corruption prevailing
in Bihar," Paswan told reporters here countering Advani`s
demand for a white paper on the status of black money stashed
away abroad.

"While Advani sees corruption elsewhere in the country,he
is not bothered about the corruption in the states ruled by
BJP and its allies," Paswan claimed and alleged misuse of
state funds for making the yatra successful.

Advani should clarify why he did not begin his yatra
from Karnataka or Uttarakhand where the party, he said, had
recently changed chief ministers for alleged corruption.
"Advani chose to embark on the yatra from Bihar where
rampant corruption prevails, Paswan said.

Wondering whether the yatra was for creating awareness
against corruption or projecting himself as the BJP prime
ministerial candidate, he said, "We are at a loss to
understand his decisions to lower the stature of Gujarat Chief
Minister Narendra Modi who is a strong contender for prime
ministership in the BJP."

Stating that his party was in favour of stamping out
corruption from the country and was a votary of a strong and
affective Lok Pal, Paswan said a proposal would be placed
tomorrow at the standing committee in Delhi highlighting the
shortcomings of Lok Pal Bill and Jan Lok Pal bill.

Describing Anna Hazare as the face of the BJP and RSS
Paswan alleged that the Gandhian`s movement and campaign was
aimed at benefitting the two.

He also disapproved of Hazare opposing the Congress in
the bypoll to the Hissar Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana.
