Maoist arrested in Bihar

A wanted Maoist was arrested from a village in Bihar`s Naxal-hit Aurangabad district, a police officer said on Monday.

Aurangabad: A wanted Maoist was arrested from a village in Bihar`s Naxal-hit Aurangabad district, a police officer said on Monday.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided a hideout in Sonbarsa village and held the Maoist, identified as Binda Singh last evening, Director General of Police Abhayanand said.

A country-made pistol, five live cartridges, liquor and Naxal literature were seized from the ultra`s possession, he said.

Abhayanand said that Singh was wanted in connection with the murder case of two persons in Pipra village of the district earlier this month.
