Jamui: Armed Maoists brought down a two-storey school building at Chananber village in Bihar's Jamui district in the early hours Sunday, police said.
Around 60 ultras brought two JCB machines from a private construction firm engaged in the construction of a road in Jamui and used it to demolish the school building, the police said.
The Maoists demolished the building to prevent authorities from using the school for housing security personnel involved in anti Maoist-operations against them, they said.
A combing operation has been launched in the area to nab the ultras.
