Patna: Information and Public Relations Minister Vrishan Patel on Wednesday exhorted mediapersons to understand their responsibility and discharge their duties with honesty and integrity.
"Mediapersons should not be nudged by anybody about their duties and responbilities....they should themselves realise the same and live upto their own expectation and that of the society," he said during interaction with journalists
at the foundation day celebrations of the Indian Press Council
which is observed as the Press Day.
Journalists should be honest and fair in their reporting of events, the minister said.
