Sheikhpura: Angry over the killing
of a local trader, hundreds of people today ransacked a police
station in Bihar`s Sheikhpura district, officials said.
The incident took place at Babigha area in the district.
Angry locals ransacked the police station there and burnt
several official records, motorcycles and pelted stones at the
building while demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
Unidentified gunmen had shot at two local traders here on
Monday. Of them one died in hospital yesterday, police said.
The situation came under control after Sheikhpura SP
Kunwar Singh reached the spot and persuaded the locals to call
off their protest and assured them of arresting the culprits
within a day or two.
