New technical policy being evolved in Bihar: Modi

Bihar government was preparing a new technical policy which would pave the way for achieving satisfactory progress in setting up new technical institutes in the state, Deputy Chief Minister S K Modi on Friday said.

technical policy which would pave the way for achieving
satisfactory progress in setting up new technical institutes
in the state, Deputy Chief Minister S K Modi on Friday said.

"The state government is evolving a new policy to pave
the way for achieving desired progress in setting up new
technical institutes in Bihar", Modi said while inaugurating a
two-day employment-cum-training fair at Industrial Training
Institute at Digha in the state capital.

He said the state government was firm in its resolve to
open up an ITI centre in every block, a polytechnic centre in
every district and an Engineering College in every division
which would come in handy in providing technical education for
better job for youths.

Modi noted that 53 ITI and 353 Industrial Training
Centres (ITCs) were functional in the state at present.

He also announced that the state government would reward
the toppers of ITI centres to promote technical education in
Bihar.
