Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar
on Friday urged professional chartered accountants to assist in
e-accounting and management of balance sheets and account
statements of panchayati raj institutions for proper
utilization of public money on development and welfare
schemes.
The help of the chartered accountants would come in
handy as there was scarcity of professionals to carry out the
jobs, he said laying down the foundation of Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) building here.
The chartered accountants may help plug the loopholes
in the accounting of the development and welfare funds with
the panchayats, he added.
