Patna: LJP supremo Ramvilas Paswan today
accused the Nitish Kumar government of "indulging in dirty
politics" and said whatever development was visible in Bihar
was because of the "Central assistance."
"Nitish Kumar government doesn`t deserve credit for the
development which is visible because of the funds provided by
the Centre which we got released while being in UPA 1 at the
Centre," Paswan told reporters on his arrival from New Delhi.
He alleged that the state`s NDA government had unleashed
"rampant corruption" in execution of the centrally-sponsored
development and welfare schemes.
"We can rather say the state government is doing virtually
dirty politics on the issue of development... On one hand it
is crying for central assistance, it is taking credit for
development on the other," he charged.
Asked whether he would contest the Rajya Sabha polls,
Paswan said it would be decided by his party.
"But one thing is clear at this stage that the biennial
elections to five Rajya Sabha seats will witness a fight
between the communal and secular forces and obviously, the
Congress will play the side of secular forces," he added.
